a commitment to sustainability
I’m Sam, an artist based in Fort Collins, Colorado, and I pride myself not only on the uniqueness and beauty of my creations but also on my unwavering commitment to sustainability. With a deep admiration for animals and nature, I carefully source reclaim and repurposed wood whenever possible, ensuring that each piece I create has a second life. I prioritize eco-friendly practices like using salvaged materials, non-toxic and low-VOC coloring, and purchasing FSC-certified wood whenever possible. I'm also dedicated to shipping responsibly to reduce my environmental footprint.
Additionally, I’m in the process of transitioning much of my paints and stains from low-VOC to zero-VOC, non-toxic options, further reducing the impact my work has on both the environment and your health.
Through my art, I advocate for a sustainable approach, proving that beauty and ecological responsibility can exist together. I also commit annually to planting one tree for every item sold, ensuring that my art contributes positively to the world around me.
I got to work with One Canopy in Loveland CO this year to fulfill my annual sustainability promise. What an amazing place with amazing staff and volunteers.
In 2023 I sold 82 pieces. In January 2024 I planted 1,372 trees
